I just bought a 364 nailhead with a dynaflow. Im Looking to put it in a Model A with open drive. Seening if anyone has done it before with using the open drive on a dynaflow. thanks
do a search if you cant find it update, its a common thing to do with Buicks but I dont know if its covered in detail here
ya ive looked all over and decided to make a thread, so if anyone has done it or knows any info id be greatful
ok the answer will be on V8 Buick dot com and the yahoo nailhead group, I like the dynaflow but to save work converting the one you have grab a later one thats already set up ('61 and up)
I have a 57 Dynaflow that I am doing some experimenting with. The front u-joint is bolted to the output shaft. The output shaft is splined, so if you can find a slip yoke that would match the shaft splines, then I think it is possible. I would have to look at where the output shaft seal resides. If it seals on the u joint then it might not be as easy as I think, but if the seal uses the output shaft, then it might be easily done.
