I just finished installing an EZ steer steering box on a 32 3 window for a customer. His complaint is that after a short drive the box seems to "loosen" up and a adjustment is required to bring it back tight. go drive again and same thing happens. Anyone have this problem with their model a kits or 32 kits? interested in what you guy's think.

Met a guy with a real nice old school build 3 window at Street Rod Nats last Friday. The only newer thing on it was one of these boxes, and he said it was the biggest mistake he had made with the car. Said it steered like shit & he had already spent another $200 on it trying to fix it, still isn't right.

A friend of mine put an ez steer in a 32 five window and drove it to Bonneville and back. Worst steering he has ever had. I rebuilt a stock 32 box for him with needle bearings ect and he is very happy now. He has other 32's with mustang and F100 boxes and likes them too. He did get his money back from john, took a while.

With easy steer I believe you are getting repro Ford/Gemmer pickup gears, improved by a sloppy case and loose adjustments. Same innards in a Ford box or good original '32 stuff would do the job.

HAMBers. Check out NealinCA, his re manufactured Hudson type boxes (if he can keep finding them) are a piece of art work. Fit and work flawlessly.
