The Eagle Field Drags are quickly becoming very popular and a must attend event for anyone seeking some GREAT Old Fashion Drag Racing. We had 168 cars battling the wind and dust ( Lee ran our Comet 3 times without an air cleaner) with not a complaint (that I heard) about the conditions. Dave Wallace was on hand for a story to be published in Hot Rod Deluxe with it possibly going to Hot Rod.
Changes are being planned to help with Staging, room for spectators, more toilets and more but the same race format will continue. I have attached a new event layout for the 1965 and earlier October event, which should allow more room for spectators, keep the staging lanes flowing, and provide simpler/easier spectator parking. I do apologize for the long line at the front gate, that will also be addressed and staff increased. A couple of other changes are in order including Racer Registration, TECH Cards MUST BE PURCHASED BY 11:30 (very good reason to pre-register), NO CARDS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER THIS TIME, NO EXCEPTIONS and ONLY 3 wrist bands TOTAL (2 crew, 1 Driver) will be allotted to each entry. TECH Inspection will be in front of the hanger and once tech is finished around noon they are DONE. Please remember the crew that makes this event happen is ALL VOLUNTEERS, these people work their tails off and enjoy it so let 'em know how much you appreciate them.
Check out all the links I've listed below and keep an eye on eaglefielddrags.com , a store will soon be added with some cool items starting with event posters. The site will have the rules and everything else Eagle Field Drag Racing has to offer listed soon.
I want to thank everyone for making our "Little Drag Race" so rewarding, entertaining and fun, without you who enjoyed the event it wouldn't be possible. Rocky

OK My Clovis area friends! I have left posters with my friends at Fortney Auto Body on Larkin just east of Clovis ave. and south of Gettysberg. See Hippie or Allison and they'll take care of you, $4 each, 3 for $10. I'm still trying to get by the post office to see what shipping will be, Friday for sure! Rocky

Rocky, the eaglefielddrags.com site is great...easier to find the info you need rather than looking back through pages and pages of a thread.

Hoping to make it in oct, and may even bring a full face helmet. :D

I'm wondering if you gents remember my dad, Gary Chambers, formerly of Speed Center of Fresno, and original driver of Rat Poison, and in the 80s, "More Rat Poison". We used to race then in Famoso.
