Rocky, you da man! Many thanks for a great time and host, you made us feel right at home with your hospitality. Making passes down the track brought back lots of fond memories - felt like a kid again. You and your help did an outstanding job, I know it's a lot of work. Also the dust control was awesome and much needed and they nipped it in the butt. Despite Kiwi Kev and Ara's sideline, we all had a great time, thanks again! Vic

What a GAS! We ran both days, I lost every race, missed one due to quite a novel problem (ring gear popped off the flywheel ), and had the most fun I've had since I built the car.

Rocky, once again, THANK YOU !!! And please pass along a hearty Well Done and Much Appreciated to "Lynn of the lanes". :D

All in all,

Got back home to the NW yesterday and we're still cleaning silt out of our ears, but had a great time.

Wanted to thank Rocky and all of the volunteers who put on a great event!

Also wanted to thank all the HA/GR guys & gals for all the hospitality and the opportunity to run with them.

Great aerial shots from Bob Martinez. Find them at (if you haven't seen them):

Thank You ALL for your support! The turnout was over the top and I appreciate each and everyone of you, I'm peddling HARD to catch up and will be posting Pictures soon. Here is a short release I sent out and a Video from friend Mark Johnson.

Thank Heavens for this keyboard because I'm speechless [IMG] literally! One of our biggest crowds yet enjoyed many new cars that included a Fantastic Gasser Turnout, the restored Jim Stevens and Vitamin A B/SR's, more Flathead powered cars than ever, The Sargenson Family FC, the beautiful Dragsters of Robert Johnson and Randall Shipman, HAMB Dragsters, record number of Grudge Racers and Gary Reinero making a pass in his historic Willys. Many Bay Area Racers including Special Guest Arnold Chaves were reunited with the last Flag Stater @ Fremont Raceway.....that's right Eves Tall "Chief" brought his Flag out of retirement and performed his talents on the starting line..................now that's "Living Drag Race History"! Unfortunately the Timing system we had for the Sundays LIONS Race went down but the participants in the Door Slammer and Street Slammer Categories were GREAT Sports as we fell back on RJ's Flag Start talents and Reedley Nomad member Robert Tartaglia and his son on the Finish Line. Robert dedicated himself to the finish line and did an awesome job.......Thank You Robert!
The LIONS Race provided plenty of Grudge racing and GREAT Heads-ups Racing in the Tee Dee Us Automotive Door Slammer and Street Slammer categories. The S/S category couldn't have been scripted better with the two Dos Palos entries of Tommy Moore and last years winner Jody McClellon in the finals, when the dust cleared the win "Flag" was in Tommy's lane for the win! The Door Slammer Category was wild, with many HIGH Powered Cars trying to get a hold of the Eagle Field Runway. The Vintage Traction aide we used showed some promise with plenty of wheels up action and exciting performances of horsepower shown by the Browns Diesel Camaro and Anglia of Mike Aquistapace. However the Finals had Corney Warmerdam and Ken "Racer" Brown in the lanes with Corney getting to the Finish Line first......GREAT RACING! Watch eaglefielddrags.com for photo links soon.

I want to thank everyone who joined us last weekend and hope that you can join me at the Eagle Field Fundraiser Dinner Dance June 1st. This is a great relaxing event that pays tribute to our veterans, and offers the Eagle Field Volunteers a time to relax, reward them them for their efforts to make the Eagle Field events possible and raise money for Eagle Field maintenance. Don't miss the BIG BAND playing music from the 40's, Dancing, GREAT FOOD and Drinks, SEE http://www.eaglefield.net/ for Tickets and more info. Hope to see you there! Rocky
