I'm picking up a 1952 Dodge 1/2 ton pickup tomorrow and there is a tire issue that i need to get resolved before I head out in the morning.....

What size rims came on a 52 dodge 1/2 ton? I need to take tires with me, but dont know what size to take.

If anyone has the answer to this question it would be greatly apprieciated.

    Thanks in advance.......

They are 5 on 4.5", stock rims should be 16" diameter. Standard tire size for most of the trucks was 6.00"x16".

One thing if you bring a whole rim, the stock drums have studs in between the mounting holes. They used lug bolts (not studs with nuts), so you could hang the rim on the small stud that sticks out of the drum. If you have a modern wheel, it will only have 5 holes, not 10 like the old rims (5 for the lug bolts, 5 for the stud to p*** through.

  5. The good news is that Dodge/Plymouth kept using wheels with the provision for the locating pins for many years after they went to the stud and nut configuration. I had a '69 Dodge van that had the 10-hole wheels. Hudson also used the same wheels as Dodge and Plymouth--Hudson had locating pins and lug bolts. Also remember that left side of vehicle has LH threads, right side has RH threads.
