Anyone know anything about them? My brother in law's boss has one, but I had never even heard of them. Apparently it's 1 of 40, an example of early fibergl*** kit cars. I don't know which model it is.

Denny Lesky at the Ionia Hot Rod Shop has one. i believe it is the S-5... could be the S-1A. real cool looking car and i know once Denny finishes it (if he ever has the time) it will be one sweet *** car... PM Hotroddrummer, i'm sure he knows all about it since it's his dad's car.

i had no idea there were only 40 built. pretty cool.

Some more Victress info can be found at www.ladawri.com

Les Dawes built fibergl*** bodies in So Cal in the 50s and 60s under the name LaDawri. He bought the molds for the Victress line in like 1961 and then sold the bodies as LaDawris. Another site to poke around through is www.tamsoldracecarsite.net

Lots of vintage California sports car racing photos including Devins, Ol Yallers, and other specials. It's not real well organized so you have to kind of drill down to find some stuff, but its cool stuff!

    Cheers,
    Kurt

Here are a couple pictures of my Dad's S-1, they were grey primer and then stenciled from the factory, This Car was never finished. The orig. owner had a square tube ch***is built for it using early ford crossmembers and axles. had a 331 Hemi.....

Dad's friend Paul brought it back from Texas (for a song if there were only 40 built).

I'm going away for the weekend, when I get back I will try to shed a little light on the subject as a whole.....if someone doesn't beat me to it.

I've had three Daytona's. They are kick *** little cars. Anytime you stuff a V8 under a lightweight fibergl*** body they are bound to make for fun cars. Hence the 50 years of Corvettes but these are cool because not everybody has one. Lots of neat 50's and early 60's gl*** kit cars.

    Hi Django

I'm in the process of doing quite a bit of research on the Victress and am putting together a registry of Victress owners. Can you put me in touch with your brother in law who owns a Victress? My e-mail address is geoffrey@grhacker.com

Thanks for any help you can lend and have a great day.
