When I was little- 6,7,8 or somewere in there, on my birthday my ol man would get the T out, and all my little pals and I would go to this parking lot by my house. My Dad would let every kid drive that car around the lot. They are super easy to drive...unless you are used to driving a normal car. Kids can drive em no problem. But now that I'm older and used to regualr cars, I get confused on whats-what :D

My Dad also liked to sit in the passanger seat with our dog in the drivers seat. He would hold his knee on the bottom of the steering wheel and pop it into forward and drive up and down our street (not a busy street). The neighbors would look in horor as my Dad goes by waving with the dog driving! He cracks himself up.

I wish that I wasn't to cheap to pay the wagon kid $5 to haul it out for me. Those B tranys are heaver than they look. I thought my arms were going to rip off, but at least I saved that money to spend on other junk:)

Great Thread. Wish I could have grown up around that... oh, never mind. I remember when I was like 5 mom told me dad was going out of town on a business trip. It turned out he was going to the Portland Swapmeet. I think we started going with him a couple years later. I like the pic of you and dad on the T chassis. He loves taken them out for a spin like that.

    Me too,
I have a few cars with good "charicter", wish they could tell me their life story. I love all early Fords, hot rodded or stock. I always remember, through out all the years of hotrodding there was always bone stock sedans, pickups, ect hauling parts, pushin cars down the salt, sleeping in woody station wagons, ect. They go with hotrods like bread and butter I think.

  8. All right, that does it!, I'm going home tonight and get that damn boy away from the computer and girl friend and start rebuilding the 54 Chevy. Well I guess i'll let him keep the girl.
