Technical EARLY CARTER YF ACCELERATOR PUMP UPGRADE

    Just wanted to pass this along to you people that are using an early Carter YF.

    The later YFA carbs have a much larger fuel inlet hole on the accelerator pump diaphram cover.

    Here my original 1950 YF cover on the left next to a mid 60's YFA cover on the right - which now has a larger hole with a check ball installed.

    The part # is a Motorcraft CM-1465, but it will work on any YF carb.

    Cool tech stuff A friend of mine had those on a 55 Nash I believe and I think he did the same modification and also put needle and seats from an edelbrock in it.
