Hey guys, I have been reading articles on the HAMB for a long time, finally decided to join so I could ask a question. I have been into model As for a few years now, and I know the general model T/model A body styles. I have been researching the web but not having much luck. So the T went to 1927, which is smaller than the A, the A was from 1928-1931, we all know this. So my question is, what do Chevy's do for those model years? Is a 1926 sedan significantly smaller than a 1931? I also read that 1931/1932 are almost identical. I read there were some changes from 1930 to 1931, and I also read that 1929 was the first 6 cylinder year. Can anyone fill me in, help me understand early Chevy's a little more? What I am really after is body/frame size, doing some research on my next project.

If your doing research on early Chevy's and want information on dimensions of the body and frame you can get a lot of information from the GM Heritage Center Publications. Just use Google search and type in the year Chevy you want to look at followed by GM heritage Center ie(1930 Chevrolet GM Heritage Center) and you will see a link to a pdf file on their site that contains a wealth of info on that year Chevy....

Thanks! I actually did that for the 31 Chevy but they don't put out any body dimensions, they give a lot of good info though. I just didn't know if there was a model year group that was the same like 28-29 A and 30-31 A.
