I'm having a 354 Chrysler Hemi built. It'll have a Weiand 7263 intake on it with two Edelbrock 500 cfm carbs on it. I'm looking to purchase two air cleaners but I don't know if the two if them will fit. Does anyone have this intake manifold, and if so can someone give me a reasonably accurate measurement of carb air cleaner mounting stud to stud? I need to now how far apart the air cleaners mounting studs sit when mounted on the intake to know how big a set of air cleaners I can fit. If anyone can do that or knows that information I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
Since no one else has chimed in, I'll post to bring it back up. I have one of these manifolds on my dirt car (Avatar), only with 2 large base Rochester 2G's on adapters. Runs like a raped ape. I made my own air cleaner with a 1/4" aluminum disc with holes cut in it to fit over the carb flanges. A large K&N filter goes on top of that (dirt tracks, you know), all held down by a spare Corvette air cleaner top I had left over from a restoration.
Those a Carter WCFB small base carburetors and had the same small air horn used up thru the 60’s including Corvettes. They were first used in 1952. Doug 520…..my dual quads are 7-1/4” on the centers and the tops I like touched so I used 2 90’s Harley Davidson stock air cleaner covers that have a cutout. I have the cutouts facing each other. They are also on the small air horns and I got adapters from Charlie Price. If your 500’s are later they will have the 7” air horns. Air filters are EMPI’s .
