History Early COLORIZED Bell Auto Photos

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Retson the Racer, Feb 15, 2025.

  1. I'm in the process of digitizing and colorizing a lot of early Bell Auto Parts photos.

While I'm familiar with the later catalogs, I've never seen any of the prewar catalogs when George Wright owned the company.

Does anyone have one that could snap a few photos for me?

    Here are a few colorized photos! Screenshot 2025-02-14 at 1.05.40 PM.png Screenshot 2025-02-14 at 1.05.10 PM.png Screenshot 2025-02-10 at 9.25.53 PM.png Screenshot 2025-02-10 at 8.35.22 PM.png

Purchased some vintage Goodyear D.T. tires from Bell Auto Parts in Bakersfield Ca. this past year, neglected to ask if it happened to have ties to the original Bell Parts

I think the Bakersfield outlet is run by Squeak Bell. Don't know if he bought the Bell Auto name or the original usage of the name expired and he took it over.

Squeak Bell is the connection in Bakersfield, I know he had some connections in New Zealand if I recall correctly.

The colorized photos look great, really like the #2 Roadster, has the history on this car been back tracked?
