History Early customs with running boards removed?

    I never keep running boards. Just prefer them without. I didn't do anything to the front fenders on my '39 Chev coupe, but had to remove about 4" off the leading edge of my rear fenders to make them match up to the front.

    I was under the impression that nosed and decked, channeled over the frame, no running boards, was pretty much in line with customizing thoughts and procedures page Three Eighty Seven Paragraph Six of the Guild of Allied of Customizers and Hot Hammer and Lead Spreaders Golden Book of Rules.
