New here on the HAMB, names Nathan from australia and just bought my first "old" car which is probabaly still a new car by your standards

Its a 1963 aussie falcon, plans are to put it on air and just drive it till I have money to buy a bit older project but this will do for for a 19 year old!

    Cheers, SLOWXL

And also stu.d.baker I would love a 2 door, only problem is they didnt make them in Aus till the XM model, And im not very keen on them or the later XP shape, Might import a US 2 door one day

Welcome. I'm wondering if the thats the OG bumper and grille? They stopped using those in " 62 in the U.S. Thats a bitchen car, Aside from right hand drive what makes it Aussie? Here's a pic of my Ranchero and one of my sisters vert. Regards, Rich

My car is all OG mate, after this model they didnt resemble the US falcon as much

Your falcon with the rounded back window is what we call an XK falcon here, then in my model they moved the indicatiors into the front bar insted of the grille and put a more square back window pillar in the car, After mine the completly changed the front and rear ends and had the XM and XP falcons

The XK was basically just a RHD american falcon, the XM had subtle differnces but was still designed in america, after that they were designed in Aus

Hey man. What part of SA you in? You should take that to Uraidla, 1st Sunday in December. I hope to have my Dodge back on the road by then. It's the best show in SA.

    See you there.

Mines no show car either, "restored" about 13-15 years ago, a hell of alot of bog, ratty interior, but I still love it

Also louie the fly, not sure if you were talking to me but I live in Victoria, about 45mins from MT Gambier, I got my car from SA thats why it had them plates on it when I took the photos, Regoed in VIC now

Cheers, I worked that out 5 seconds after I posted. What a DH! Anyway, thats a cool car. I looked at a Fish shop coupe once. It had a dark blue velvet interior. Looked like it was owned by Cheech & Chong.

yeah i do, in my PC back in Aus, hahaha

It was in Hot Rodding once, about 8 years ago, hmmm, i think i have a copy floating around somewhere.

Currently it is being readied for flat orange paint, or purple, cant decide, waiting for Cragar!!! plus i scored some MASSIVE 14 inch rims, LOL. But it's probably gonna sit in my garage gathering dust till i get back to Aus full time

I would rather you "steal" the boat than the falcon, hahaha. Or please steal my newer falcon, that could do with painting as well.

Isn't it odd, i have ZERO pics of any toy i have ever owned.
