I want to put front discs on a STOCK (undropped) 36 Pickup. I am leaving the original steering box, tie rod, and drag links in service. So I want to use a 37-48 spindle to make things easier.

My issue is this: What bolt on steering arms to use on a stock 36 with original I-beam axle and original wishbone?

I also want to retain the wide 5's all around, so I know I will need to use a wide 5 adapter on the new rotor. How will this affect the tire to fender clearances?

I can't be the 1st guy down this path, but I can't find any steering arms that say they are good in a original situation as described.

Just trying to avoid the domino effect when changing out parts for modern application.

    Help.

  2. What would be wrong with using stock spindles with the original steering arms attached? HRP

Just curious; why do you want to do this? Why not stick with drums?

You dont need any steering arm exchange the 37-40 spindle steering arms are the same drop as the stock 36 spindles so as long as you dont swap the axle out for a dropped unit it is a simple parts swap and you use all the stock parts.
