Ford Geelong assembly plant in Victoria Australia hung these exploded diagrams on the line for reference for the mechanics and these were brought home by my Grandfather who was a Ford trained mechanic on the Mercury line after WWII. My Grandfather, Jack, loved the Mercury Ford and thought it as the best motor vehicle on the planet. I recently found these in my fathers shed after his passing and I will now hang them in my shed proudly. Thought some of you may like a bit of history. The Ford assembly line is closing in 2017 due to globalisation.

  3. How cool is that ! I bet some of those guys on the line could put that stuff together with their eyes closed after 30 years of doing it.

When you think of it, it's truly amazing how the draftsmen of the those times made drawings that are now works of art. All with no computers.
