SOLD Early Ford Backing Plates This is a matched pair of front plates off a '48 Ford front axle ***embly. Now take a close look here at the quality of these plates. These came off a low mileage coupe that got a IFS transplant. Preserved with a typical coating of 60 year old grease and dirt. Under this, the RF, LF and Ford logo will be clearly visible, telling us these aren't rusty junk laying in a field for the past 40 years. These are the later style with the floating bottom anchors. Wheel cylinders were not rebuildable so I removed them to save weight for shipping The brake shoes look almost new bonded replacements, have some grease/oil on them and might clean up with brake clean solvent. Included, as the pics show, are all brake hardware, grease baffles and original Ford square headed backing plate bolts and factory lock nuts. $135 + shipping. I take PayPal and ship via FedEx.
