early ford parts ID what is this stuff

  1. Just finished sorting everything that came with my A bone. I am lost with these few pieces. Any idea?

    Engine mount. Dunno about the smaller piece.

    Does the little part have a notch in the tubular section? It looks a bit like the part on the bottom of the steering column that holds the original headlight switch. What are the numbers cast in the forked piece?

  6. What about this top loader gearbox lid/shiftfork set up? #81A-7222-B. Appears the same as the one on the 39 box in the car.

    That piece was used 1938-52. If the bigger fork is 3" across the inside, it's the one needed when putting later gears in any earlier Ford trans.
     
  9. 81 A is a 38 ford part number. Could be the same one on your 39 box. They carried over parts a lot in those days. Nutz
