What is the difference between Model A axles and the later 30s and early 40s? I know brakes and widths but what about strength? Im going to buy a quick change center section and was wondering if I could use the Model A rearend that I have or is there a reason that I should get a later one>

You need to decide if you want to go A or Later style. A only works with A parts. The V-8 QC will interchange with a V8 rear and it's parts but you need to use the right spider/axle combo for the application. Tubes and brakes also follow this. As for the aftermarket slide in tubes you can run just about anything you can weld on the end that will fit a 9" Ford style rear. This of course all has nothing to do with a "real" sprint car style wide five wheel.

    Good luck,
    Tim
