I've been looking for a set of 46-48 ford pass car spindles lately so I can use my rebuilt 53 ford pickup front brakes on and I was wondering I still have the truck that the brakes came off of. It still has the spindles on it would they work on an earlier ford pass car axle?

Like an old model A axle or a later model axle like around 32? Or on a 41-48 ford pass car axle?

Its just a thought I don't know if the kingpins are the same or not but I figure that would be the main thing that would cause it not to work. I can make steering arms so that wouldn't be a big deal.

I was just wondering if anyone would know?

  2. I'm fairly sure the truck kingpin is a little bigger. Ford cars are .812

Other than that could it be machined to work?
