I just got a really nice trans from 'kenagain' here on the HAMB, and it has a rear mount attached to it. I need a different trans mount for the rear, as this one does not match up to the frame mounts I have (which I know fit SOME early ford rear trans... I've had one in there in the past, but no longer have it)
I notice here: http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flathead_transID_3speed-rearmounts.htm that there are several versions of the rear mount... are they all interchangable? I am sure that one of these is the one I need. Just need to know if they will all work with the '36(?) case I've got.

    Thanks!

They will all work. How wide are the mounts apart? I believe the early ones were wider than the laterones. I can measure if you like.

I had to do the same thing, I'm using a 39 tranny, with a 49 F1 crossmember, in my A frame.

I picked up a different mount on Ebay for about twenty bucks, worked great.

All trans mounts '32-48 will interchange on 3-speed early Ford cases.

Cool... good to know. Let me find which one I happen to have and measure what the dimensions of the theoretical one that would work would be. Thanks!
