Technical Early Ford U Joint ID

    I have these U joints..... forging/casting numbers J250 and 23121 on the spline neck. The neck end is about a 1-1/8 OD 6 spline, the shorter end is about 1-3/16 OD 6 spline, thanks

    Isn't that from inside the coupler/trans end of a closed drive/torque tube setup?

    Yes, but are they car or truck? Or are they all the same

    I think 32-48 car are all the same, truck was different
    You can use online catalogs to look it up quickly

    28-48 Ford, 39-48 Mercury, 28-41 Ford 1/2 ton all use the same U-joint.
    There are numerous other truck (in Fordspeak 3/4 ton or larger) for this era that look like the p***/pu joint but won't work.)
    Many unscrupulous sellers at swap meets mark these non-working joints as 28-48 Ford and sell them to unknowing customers.

    I can not tell from catalogs if this is a car U joint......I have a few of these...

    So can anyone ID the U joint as a 32-48 car type?
