Gonna post a couple pics and go to bed as I have to flame an el Camino in the morning.some of these are old and some are this week, some are sublime and some are ridiculous: Everything from bike parts to airbrushed ice cubes to 3-color flamed fingernails..........
A friend of mine's wife was going to a 50's themed car show and wanted her fingernails flamed.Used 3 colors and it took about 15 minutes.Lasted about a week.
OK...I'll jump in on this one...almost Friday here... Concept art for a shop here in Denver: An '04 T-Bird with '57 T-bird front and rear fenders... R-
A lil culinary art Me and my buddy Vince started with this 60lb lock of ice And ended up with this Ol Zeke in action More picts at http://photo.starblvd.net/swaggerm?st=album&pg=2
Another view and again not bad for spending most of the night outside in the cold soaking wet. God it was fun!! Not bad for the first time at it.
DAMN 49 Stude, that sucker looks better than the new origanal. Here's another watercolor for this week. If there is any interest in it, I will auction it off for the HAMB...
Here are my usual 3 posts for the Friday Art extravaganza. First is enamel on gloss black cardboard. Second (enamel on comp paper) is something I am playing around with for a friend's 63 T Bird mild custom, it incorporates some of the design elements from the actual T Bird badge. The design is a bit busy for what I would put on this guy's custom, but he likes it. The third is enamel on a VB ( Victoria Bitter beer ) bottle ,is a for my nephew as a gift he is giving to a friend!
Nice stuff everyone. Ray - Is there anything you haven't ever painted? Here's a panel I did this week. It's about 36" high, striped in white, green, and orange.
Dunno how well this would qualify as "art"...but it's a concept "painting" I did to illustrate what I want my car to look like someday! Starting with a bland photo of a very nice, stock 49 Chevy, I chopped it and painted it to my liking... <img src=http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid102/p3e839ba84f17fdd4fbb3955f52748ab0/f9b453ec.jpg> Got a long ways to go...but this is my new official "Motivational Painting"!!!
Here are a couple of still shots from an animation I recently did. In the animation, the car's color starts out blue and transforms into the final red color. Here in white is the geometry.
nice stuff this morning fellas! SafariRay! When can we see pics of yer car? I always see it in the background of yer pics and Barnett and Antichrysler went crazy about it! I gotta say, those long slender panels of Daddy-O's are always the cleanest....love the stuff! Anywho, here's another from the garage....let's see more!!!!!!!!!
[ QUOTE ] SafariRay! When can we see pics of yer car? [/ QUOTE ] Went looking for a quick one and all I found was this one taken at the Ty-Rods show a couple years ago.I got this from another site so I hope I'm not infringing on anyone's rights(sorry Smitty's Hot Rod Page). Ray
You really have to see Ray's Safari in person...I probably went over it ten times at the Broken Dream Kruise last Summer and STILL didn't see everything!!! The little details are every bit as impressive as the larger work! WAY cool car...awesome talent behind the brush!!
Shortbus.....another beautiful Holga moment. I just shot a friends punk band with my holga (my first holga shoot) I find out today if any of those pictures are worth a damm. Is it wrong to use a 300$ flash on a 15 dollar camera? We will see. Mike oh ps...what type of color film do you use with yours?

i stripped the black finish of the top of guitar, fine sanded the top, did illustration. next i'll clear, then pin stripe (ooo) around the pick guard to give a lacey feel...
A couple more from the archives:First a drum head I did.My son was the manager of the band. The second goes WAY back;a T-shirt I did with magic markers in 1965 for a friend in the Navy.I just talked to him on the phone for the first time in nearly 40 years!
