  2. great art everyone.
EYEBONE, that skeleton is incredible. Give him credit for the concept and you for the art. Both, very original and well done. Could you post any more detailed pics of that?

I love the CherryBomb galsspacks on the chopper too.

I did that before I got my digital camera and I haven't developed that role yet… got around elleven roles in the fridge… maybe someone out there took some detail shots they'd be willing to post…

I felt the challenge on that gig was to make it believable, but still a pinstripe… so I did allot of continues line stuff so it was still a stripe and not just a painting… thats just how I wanted to approach it… I dug out an old anatomy book and dragged it over to his house… and there you have it…

This is turning out to be a good show… Those Hudson etc. grill shots are great… Ya Franco you did it again with that "Stoned Hoods and Crooks!" art, I like the "Roth" sign too… and Empire, that "Tiki" pannel Rocks!

It's all good folks, keep it comming!

I know a little bit about the Nomad... It was built by a guy named Bruce Shultz out in Cali... He was trying to paint the car to look like the early Hot Wheels (redlines) with what Mattel called Spectraflame paint. On the Hot Wheels cars a translucent (candy) paint was sprayed directly onto the shiny metal body castings of the cars. Last time I talked to Bruce he had not painted the car yet, but was talking about using a very similar technique.

If you can track Bruce down I am sure he will tell you how he did it, He is a really nice guy...

    Hope this helps...

if it is on bare metal, would that be very tuff at all?

think you'd get the same effect with darker colors?.

thanks for the help,DT..i'll look around

Back when they did this on HW cars they used a lead based paint, don't know how well this would hold up with todays paints. If I were going to try this I would practice on some sheet metal panels, to see how darker colors work and how well the paint adhears...

I guess its on the tail end coming in on Saturday morning but here is another poster I will have at the HAMB drags. This is just the digital version. I am cutting the blocks this week. Maybe I will have some progress to post by next friday.

    art will be 9" x 12" with a 1" border.

Damn KCSledz - that is a sick screenprint. I love how the old school design aspects mixed with the "rough" screenprinting give it a killer vintage feel. I'm new to the H.A.M.B., so this may be a dumb question, but do you do/have more examples of similar art? A link would be awesome, cuz your work is inspirational.
