thanks for all of the feedback. i was trying to get it done for the last art challenge, but missed the deadline. anyhow, heres my initial working sketches with a quick rearend design. i would probablly elaborate more on it if i was going to actually draw it. i just did a rough to make sure everything would work.

futureelements, i stopped by your booth at gnrs. way cool stuff. im not usually a big fan of computer art, but your stuff has a real good natural feel to them.

    falconizer, i love that style.

sinclair, really cool. it looks like a corvette center hood section? great design.

gary c, i always enjoy your posts.

dankyd, awesome. im exited about running featureing you in the new rod & kulutre.

    mike, im digg'n the flash.

meteor, real cool. check the drag cars in motion thread. there is a lot of referrence material on there. ive downloaded a turd load of stuff from there already.

motorcitythreads, real cool t-shirt. id wear one.

sorry if i missed anyone, theres just too much cool stuff.

Everybody is so damn good on here, Zombie, its always fun to see what your up too. I kinda hurt my drawing arm, and it kinda slowed me down at work and on here too. Its a little bit depressing for me , but I'll crawl out of it! Well. the only thing thats been on my mind , for some reason, is Rod Powells old Merc. Canted quads, enlarged wheel openings in the rear, its got some interesting features that I overlooked all these years. I love this car, especially after drawing it some, would make a neat model car too. These are some rough sketches that I made when I was tired of blocksanding. one of them is on carboard. Wish I had more time to finish it!:D

Zombie, Love seeing the sketch work! You came buy my booth? Well thanks for stopping by. Did we talk at all? I love your work as well and thanks for the kind words on mine. I have a traditional background so I still try to implement that into my digital stuff. Most of my work was originally done in gouche or markers and chalk and some oils here and there.

Sinclair I have seen you stuff before too, great stuff and thanks for the kind words as well.

I will be posting more from now on just to get to know you guys more. I am a fan boy of a lot of your works here.

    Hats off!!!
Beautiful piece man. I've been trying to get my new site together so this is what I've been working on this week. It's going to be my opening page and then later this year, possibly a shirt.

    Great show fellas!

I finally went to print with the next poster, Cranked&Shafted

I will have these for sale soon, so be on the lookout for them in the Classified section in the next week or so.

Also, did a second version of that 40 Ford shirt idea, this time I dumped it a bit more and added some red wheels which help out with some more color in the car design.

Cheers. Happy end of the work week.

    Zombie RULES.

Here's a new one from me. This one is the second one I've painted. I've refined some stuff and changed a few things.

"Monkey Rod 2" 11x14 acrylic on canvas.

    FANTASY DRAG RACE
I was reading about drag racing in the early sixties and decided to doodle this out.
the year is 1965, I have this modified 1960 chevy with a big block 348 with three pairs of carbs, modified headers, all the stuff a weekend rodder would need to take a grocery getter to the track. It does the quarter mile at a top speed of 110 mph using 315 horse power, getting the trunk past the finish around 13 seconds.
I don't know a lot about these cars since i was about 7 then, but i read good and that seems typical for that time.
Anybody want to sketch or photoshop out a competitor for a MATCH RACE? does 'nt have to be a full bodied car , but something that would have been around in the early part of the decade.
Any Takers? in the next couple friday art shows? look foward to what you come up with
    thanx

Damn ZOmbie - where were you for the art challenge?!
Seriously though, I really like the flow of this, it has a great organic living feel to it. I think some of it has to do with the cant of the grille shell. Looks friggin mean.

    I love this art show.

Zombie...it looks so good you could eat it. It somehow reminds me of Jolly Ranchers in a good way.

    Welcome to the newcomers.
    New one today.

I realy like every thing sofar this week! Every thing! Great Bubble-Top's guy's!!!! GaryC. & Janne you did oit again! Custom Corry glad to see you back!

I did a sign for Ken Harris's 36 Ford 5 window coupe for the Sacromento car show, this week end. But I'm not going to make the show myself. The way thing's worked out I didn't have a chance to photograph it. So if someone w/a cammera is up there and they don't mind. Could you please grab a shot of it for me. It's all white lettering and pinstripping on clear red Plexi glass. Thank you!

Didn't make it to the Barn this week so no cup. But I did this for the Art Chalenge but missed the dead-line. I posted it last week but it was just before they arquived the show so I'l post it again.

SIMPLY AMAZING! You guys seem to out-do yourselves EVERY week!

Zombie- excellent rendering! You truly are the master of colored pencils and chrome!.

Awesome digital stuff too, J CRUZ, I love the illustration of the bike, you don't see many done at that angle.

Here is what I got this week, workin' on a new business card. Here's the front.
