Art & Inspiration ....::Early Friday Art Show::......

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by PACHECO, Aug 21, 2008.

  1. Thanks Brett, glad ya liked 'em. I hope you got a shot of you 2 on the Salt wearing them.

Spray sealed 'em... they just sucked it in (actually they went all "fuzzy" and I had to sand them down)
2 coats of brushed-on clear... they laughed at me.
2 coats of spar varnish did the trick... probably could've used a 3rd, but those things can stop falling bricks now. Even after sanding between coats it was like painting on the surface of the moon.

Good start to the show. I was inspired this week to put a pen and ink together this week, only with markers. It's not a Pacheco piece but fun to do. Now only if I new how to do it in photoshop.
    Pacheco really nice stuff.
Von Franco's stuff is nice too.
    JimmyB good work.
    Robschwager as always nice cyanos.
Ubermustang almost looks like a photo.

Nothing new but how about a medley of custom pieces for other HAMB members. A lot of these have not been posted here before.

At least they are waterproof now.

Current repops are made with white glue.
The kind that dissolves in water.
So they start to self destruct when the glue fails.

Pacheco.....have you ever thought about doing one of a '58 Chevy Fleetside? Cause if you did, I'd have to hang it on my wall. Or use it as wallpaper on my PC.

Here is one last shot for this weeks show. Shot htis in Joliet last week. It's a real survivor car from back in the heyday. I've never seen a 58 gasser, it was TITS!!!

Nice pic, reminds me of a 3 legged dog that used to chase my school bus as a kid.
