I liked the way the light hit this truck so I faded out the background and took out the show rope that was out front. this is from the San Francisco Rod Custom & Motorcycle Show.

Sometimes, I admit I can be a little too critical, but I gotta say, that there's not one thing in this show that doesn't belong here, it's all great stuff. Yeah, even yours Jigger!:)

Man, I need to work on my timing. First I was early and now I'm late to the party. Thanks for starting it on the right time Pacheco :).

There's TONS of talent here, eye candy galore. Makes me want to pick up a pen or a brush again. I really dig Pacheco's, FlyingPolock's, ubermustang's, Buick59's, just to name a few. It's funny, most of the gearheads I personally know are artistic. I guess it has to do with creativity. Building a hot rod is an artform itself.

Here's my stuff. All done in 3D just in case any of you are wondering.

Dirt Diggler: What program are you using? Great modeling!
Everyone: AWESOME STUFF! you make me so mad that I don't have enough time to DO anything regarding art, having to work 48 hrs a week  I have just enough time to mow the yard and go back to work!

  9. These are too cool. Nice work!

Dirt Digger, again, nice renderings. and you're not late.

That '32 out on the flats up above is amazing. I want a print on my wall.

  10. Thanks roddinron I worked real hard on that one. I had a second
so I went ahead and colored it. I wanted to use crayons but photoshop, in
    this case, was faster.

    Enjoy... Krappy Sketch #2

I've been dabbling in lino-cut lately. I made this one for a show we are having in September.

  15. Sounds like fun, and normally, i'd be all over this sort of thing. But you live in Chicago, home to some of the best tattoo artists on the planet. Cruise to the northside and see some of them and get a consultation.

hahah I'm not sure, but I'm going for the record.

This eases some of my woe's. I wasn't sure how folks would percieve its' fit in on the H.A.M.B. art shows. All things said, it's Jewelry and Accesories... there's an idea for a new Womens forum. Ryan?

Now you've done it, put me in line for a print. Seriously though, strange how even a quick "Krappy sketch" done by a talented artist still retains a certain quality.
Let's just not make a habit of this.

  26. A print of this would be rad.

Me and my 2 year old sat down to draw hot rods yesterday. He'd dig the hell outta this pic. I gotta drag him over to the 'puter now and show him.

I shot this car about 9-10 years ago in a place called Skull Valley, way out in the western waste lands of Utah.

Nice, the layered fabric reminds me of the Kuna Indian's molas in Panama.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mola_(art_form)#Construction

Molas are hand made using a reverse appliqué technique. Several layers (usually two to seven) of different-coloured cloth (usually cotton) are sewn together; the design is then formed by cutting parts of each layer away. The edges of the layers are then sewn down; the finest molas have extremely fine stitching, made using tiny needles.

For some reason, I love this!
Do you have a tablet? Also, if you do, would you recommend getting one for sketching/coloring/car chopping in photoshop? I would like to get one... but I am not sure if I would use it enough to justify it
