  3. Great art here, guys. Whodaky- that red panel is sweet! How did you get the engine turned look for the background? Phoenix- that striping job turned out great! Somehow I missed it at the show.

Not much of anything from me lately. Slowed down on my striping because I had too much finished crap sitting around. I'm getting bored though, so I'll have to get working on somethin'. All I've got this week are a couple drawings:

Tiki/monster sketch that I'll be making into a painting:

Thankyou for the comments on the 2 pieces I have shown this week.
The background I used as the canvas for the red piece is actually a cardboard (A4 in size ), it has that engine turned effect on it. I it get from a local craft shop ( I think they call it holigram card). It also comes in other colors. I especially like the dark blue that is available.
I am always looking at different stuff to stripe, not necessarily objects. Went into the local scrapbooking shop this morning and got some stuff to stripe on. The card and paper available make for different backgrounds for my 'whodakys'. I have been working today on a few pieces on this stuff and am hanging out to show them next. Kind of unusual like a lot of my stuff.
Here is another piece I had on file that uses the same type of cardboard. However this time I joined 2 1/2 pieces of A4 together to get a bigger'panel'. This piece was been shown here a while back. I love the dark blue with the dark stained wooden frame. Geoff aka whodaky

Actually worked on my car this week so nothing from me.

It is one fine show this week. Lots of variety.

    Great work everyone!

Spent, the good thing about card stock is that it is cheap and can be so convenient. The only drawback, with non glossy card' is that it can suck in the paint. which can offer some interesting affects and also you don't get a second chance; in that you can't rub stuff out. But that in affect adds to the challenge.
Th other aspect of card stock is it is mostly a blank canvas, unlike a 3 dimensional object, which can influence what you do on it. However patterned card stock can influence your design if you let it. I think I have done some of best pieces on card stock. Another bonus is it is so easy mailed to people anywhere around the world. I love it. Geoff akawhodaky

Don't remember if I posted these last week or not, but I finished up the last one on Tuesday, so I guess I can get away with it in this weeks Art post yet.

Did a couple of vintage dirt track modifieds for a guy. He has connections, I suspect there will be a bunch of these coming in the near future. Might be good, might be bad, but now I'm going to finally make a little money from my Art Work. Gene
