Here is something I've been fiddling with as of late. Sorry about the lack of contributing to the friday show. This is a tray I made using a 40 Ford Coupe rear window frame. The bottom is clippings using old rod magazines that I have that are really thrashed, so no good magazines were harmed during it's creation. I'm also working on framing paintings using this method also. I have not seen this done this way that I know of, and I have been itching to give it a try. So if your coupe is missing a rear window frame...it was not me.

I will have a booth at the Roundup with my artwork come on by and say Hi. Got to keep practicing the striping (again thanks Vince).

Nate - sweet sketches, like them a lot. Thanks for kicking this thread off early this week.

Flyingpolock: that is incredible. Nice job.

Seeing as how we are all a bunch of process freaks, (how'd you build that?!?) I'm proposing a "Friday Art Show: TECH WEEK".
Enlighten us all as to your processes; show us how it's done.
(Tshirts, digital paintings, analog paintings, sketches, striping, signs, picture frames, photography....whew.)

    Can I get an 'amen'?

(sorry if it's been done before, but I wasn't able to dig it up via search)

Lowcab - that's an awesome use for the window frames and I really like the idea of using them for framing paintings.

Not exactly HAMB material but the customer is always right.

A couple of T-shirt designs. The Camaro's the one that made the cut and they just shipped to Del Mar for the weekend.

BTW, Excellent work as always FlyingPolock! You're my hero.

Nate, this is for you. Not the best pic, but I was really happy with the way this framed up. The mat colors are an exact match to the print.

Hangs proudly in my office now. Along with the HAMB 9 print.

Great show so far boys and girls!

The project is still developing but we have a deal coming up with a racing theme. Here are some ideas for the shirts.

    ENJOY!

Damn, these Friday Art Shows are getting earlier and earlier. Its going to get confusing when they're exactly one week early!

According to the date on it, I finished this oil on canvas in January 2005. Back when I used to paint. I sold it to a guy in Australia. Really wish I'd kept it now..........................

Okay - I think the deceased was a driver for the "Sandmaster" team from the sixties... I think I see his name on the door... if I remember right, they were a pretty big aftermarket race equip. dealer.

Here is the photo I was given to go by... I love action shots.

    Thanks so much!
I start with a pencil rough on paper, scan it in, then begin drawing in Illustrator, creating lighting and reflections and whatnot on the fly, using some reference materials to get the surfaces looking right... occasionally, I'll print the piece, then add some final details and whatnot with the airbrush.
