YES! That's exACTLY what I meant! What I SHOULD have said was my favorite CHRYSLER Hemi COUPE. And Rick's Model A is my favorite DeSoto Hemi SPORT COUPE!! (CLICK THE LINK BELOW FOR THE REASONS, including VIDEO) http://scootermcrad.blogspot.com/2008/09/coolest-1930-sport-coupe-ever.html ^^^ SEEEE?! ^^^
This is what i was talking about, I made it fit on a 31 frame, i'll put it out there for everyone else
Saw this old thread today. Tahern, great looking car. Re horsepower figures- last year's EMC 3rd place finisher was a 354 + .030. Made over 645 HP NA. Very cool
Jimmy I'm only making 410+hp, don't need much more with fenders. Building a hemi for this was not as much of a bank buster as i thought it would be, and i'm still running the factory waterpump setup and remod distrb.
oh yea, its also an extended bell 54, (not too many in 54) also went with the wilcap 727 kit, slick and easy to do. well worth the $$$
Here's what I did when all I had was a 31 slant window 4 door town sedan and wanted a hotrod. Since the slant window cars don't have visors I used a 63 Plymouth trunk lid to make a new area above the windshield and the top from the same 63 Plymouth to fill the rest of the roof. The car has a 2" chop and is channeled 8". To make it easier to get in the car the doors were lenghtened 4". The engine is a 341 Desoto mated to a 518 od Mopar tranny. Mopar A body 8.75 rearend. I decided to build my own 3 deuce intake and use Rochesters.
Ok, sold the sedan and doing a 29 roadster on 32 rails should be a lot easier this time around, anyone got one like that? T

Hello. New here. I have a 1930 Model A coupe with a flatty. Stock firewall. 30 frame. I came across this old thread when searching to see what you all have had to do to a car like mine for a hemi install. I have a 1957 341 Desoto that I was maybe thinking of putting into the car. S25 block. Thanks in advance for any links or comments on what you have done.
