In the 60's I built a 354 and ran it in a boat. it was well built with 11.5 to 1 compression and good ported heads etc. I put an Isky "RR2" roller in it. idled about 800, would go to 6500, Power range exploded at about 3000. it was great!

Without scrounging for a catalogue or suggesting that you contact Isky...
I can tell you that the 590 refers to gross valve lift and the 'hardface' refers to a race-only cam that requires compatible, old-timey, hard lifters.
Now, is the underlying question something like: Can you use it in a street engine? No.

  5. We get them made as we need them in TO (CC&C)on our old cores. This one is a mild isky hydraulic good for around 5800to6000. It is Mikes car and he wanted it as it would have been. Not modern with old looks. That said it works pretty good anyway. Tis a 331.
