This was not my original idea, I got it from reading Rob3865,and TR Waters post. But I tried something a little different. Not wanting to give up the original early Hemi cam thrust plate. It is blanchard ground flat and is heat teated harder than the newer 3.9V6 tensiner plate. So I sectioned the V6 tensioner and welded a plate to it so it captures the original Hemi trust plate. Make sure you grind down the heads of the lower screws otherwise it will rub the back of the cam sprocket. Check the clearance without the chain to see if you have clearance. Ago
