I'm building a 34-ish Ford roadster pickup with a Desoto hemi and 400 turbo. I need to know how many ring gear teeth 122 or 130 and what diameter. I also need to know the starter bolt hole centerline offset from crank centerline and which hi-torque starter to use. 10 tooth, 12 tooth or what. The adapter plate is laid out for stock early hemi starter location (7.750 between crank center line and starter center line) but can be changed if needed. I have more time than money so I have no problem making my own parts. Thanks for the help!

  2. The engine number will tell you what year it is, then that will tell you the number of teeth. As for the mini starter, any Stock Chrysler mini starter is a bolt in...if the teeth match up. I have a 55 DeSoto in mine, and I went to the Pick and Pull and snagged one out of a Mini Van...
