I have a set of 54’ 331 Chrysler hemi heads being reconditioned. I ordered new valves, springs etc for my machining guy to use. The intake springs fit fine but the exhaust valve springs don’t fit the pocket in the head, close but won’t work. Yes, I plan on contacting the source of the parts but wanted to ask here if anyone has seen this issue before.

The pockets on the '55 331 are both 1.40, I'd think yours would both be the same size as each other, unless someone opened up the intake ones for some reason. Assuming '54 4 bl heads...
