early intake on a late engine

Hi - a friend of mine put a 39 or so two carb intake on a 53 engine- it now how no road draft tube only an oil fill tube with no breather, just holes drilled in the side of the top of the fill neck- he is getting oil on his windshield and i was contemplating putting a pcv in the intake and a proper breather on the fill neck-it is an older flathead with some blowby and i am hoping this will fix the problem- has anyone else had this problem or know of a good fix for it- thanks
