Early Olds -- PCV Valve Conversion?

    Smog valves need vacuum to work.Hook the hose to the intake side side of the blower. The amount air a valve will flow is related to engine size. A 500 ci. Cad valve will flow more air than a 283 valve. With a blown engine-more blowby-I would use a valve made for a big engine. Pcv systems are just a big vacuum leak and should not be plugged in to a single intake runner. The fumes the pvc system pulls are a burnable mixture so the carb. should be adjustable. If you don:t run a breather cap [solid cap] the crank case vacuum help stop oil leaks.

    I don't know about a pvc system;), but the fumes a PCV system pulls are usually blow-by, which is mostly already burned, plus some air, if your PCV system has a breather that allows some air into the crankcase. I doubt that it is combustible on it's own without additional fuel.
