  1. I just picked up this manifold last weekend at Canfield. Great info, just what I was looking for!

Great link. Unfortunately he doesn't deal with early model tri powers from what I saw on the site. Good info though! :)

Yes, great thread, wrote down all sorts of good stuff..So, I gather that if I want to change my 59 389 to tri-carb set-up I need to be looking for a 59-60 manifold only, right? later ones won't fit..

A '57-'58 intake will work as well, but it uses the small base carbs in all three spots.

And if you find a manifold you can use it as a paperweight while you attempt to find a proper set of carbs for it. lol

(Finding the correct carbs, linkages, etc. will cost you more than you can imagine.)

Great information! I currently have a 1959 4 door post catalina. We just picked up a 1960 389 with trans for it and I was considering putting an overdrive chevy trans behind it so finding out about Wilcap really helps. I picked up some sweet cal custom finned valve covers for my motor and was really hoping to luck up on a tri power set up. I want that look. Plan is to lower her, flat gold, and drive anywhere I wanna go. So in conclusion good stuff on this thread thanks!
