I've been a member of the Early V-8 club for several years now (I like their rag). Since they changed their website I have not been able to bring it up on my PC at home or at work. I would like to join a local regional group and I can not find any POC numbers in my V-8 Times magazines. Does anyone know whom I would contact in the Portland Oregon metro area? I live in Vancouver and would like to start meeting some of the local members. My 1935 pickup is a Hot Rod w/ a warmed & dressed up 59A w/ a stock 3 speed & banjo rear. It's pimered (DP90) & pin stripped w/ wires & Coker WWs & a louvered half hood. She has a red & white pleated interior w/ a matching bed cover. Would I be welcome at club meets with my truck? My truck is mechanically pretty stock and I could use some local help when I have problems with her. Has anyone had any experience with this club? Good, bad or ugly?

I like the V8 Club a lot but, I havn't been around any for a long time. They despised my 32-3w with the sbc. Stock on outside.Painted black with stock pin stripes. Even spare tire mount. They used to think that the only way is Henry"s way. I have talked to some lately and they are starting to be closet hot rodders. Don't get your hopes up for a warm reception. They are very nice and dedicated people tho.

Just pulled this from a Google search. The site came up instantly, although it requires Flash 6 to read it.

    Great-looking site, BTW.
