We are supercharging a Model T motor and deciding how to drive the blower. The stock flat belts are not up to the task. The current thinking is chain drive but v belt would be much simpler. We need to be period correct to 1926. I'm told Hudsons used v belts in 1926 but don't have a definitive pic to prove it.

Does anyone know of v belt usage in 1926?

    Thanks!

  2. I have seen banger powered Ts with big heavy V belts but that does not mean that they were not upgraded at some point.

I like chain drive they were still doing that into the early '60s. Not that big a deal to set up, source your spropets from a trackter dealership. Some place that sells chain and drives for combines and the like. I used to look for an Allis Chalmers dealer when I was traveling around on the bike whenever I needed a new chain, front or rear.
