I an across a V8 60 yesterday, super nice out of a old race boat, its got a eddy meyers set of speed stuff on it, or something like that, heads, intake, 97's distributor with two coils, runs good been is storage for 30 plus years. Port work but I only saw th intake off. I am thinking about buying it but I was wondering about the power. Is it just a good looking engine for knocking around town or do they run out well enough to keep up with todays traffic. It is not super cheep so I dont want to blow 900 bucks for a garage piece. I will try and get a pic of it, super cool duel exhaust too.

$900 is super cheap for what you described. Even if it doesn't run and needs rebuilding.

Remember that this is a tiny, low torque engine that can only perform at all well in a very light car. They were fast in midget racers and in foreign car engine swaps, nearly undriveable traffic obstructions in the 3,000 pound plus cars they originally came in. It sounds like a very good deal, but think about what it can realistically power.

Right. Good for a T roadster, not so good for a '34 Ford. By the way, if you don't pay $900.00 for it, there will be a long line of guys that will, so don't delay.

If it is as described, it will put out somewhere around 90 hp, depending on the cam.
Fits nicely in a model A

I don't think you will have any trouble getting your money back if you decide it is not what you thought it would be.
