I spent a couple of days at the Early Wheels of Iowa Swap Meet held every year in Greenfield, Iowa. I videoed some of the stuff. Of course there were things there that I'd never seen before like the tool at the end of the video, they did it by hand back then.
I was there both Friday & Saturday. That's my junk at the 3:50 mark. My sales were decent and I got a few treasures. I think the number of vendors and spectators was down from previous years.
Quick story.......as Corn Fed stated, his cool stuff was at the 3:50 mark in the video. I was his neighbor for the day. I am the guy in the cowboy hat.....bib overalls holding the garden rake. I had been bemoaning the deterioration of auto swap meets into garage sale/flea market type events.......and then I remembered that I had broken one of my rakes last weekend......found a nice used traditional one for $7.00........I am a total hypocrite !!!!
went this year first time in 5 years I couldn't believe how it had deteriorated. i'm not sure I would call that a swap meet. more like a flea market with a few car parts ****terd around
I am glad it wasn't too much bigger (although I have to admit the attendance is dropping- we used to vend but the profit compared to the expense wasn't all that good) because I was shot after walking around all day. My wife found items she wanted, all I found were a pair of Tillman Welding gloves that I gave to her and the only Studebaker item I found, a license plate surround "My Other Car is a Studebaker"
