I need this particular issue if anyone may have it for sale or trade. I have quite a few doubles that I'd be willing to trade. Shoot me a PM if you can help me out.

    Thanks

A little late on this post but here's a pic of the Hellzappopin that sold in NY last fall. It was the early short one.

Did you also notice Joe Amato winning A/A at Pocono?

  7. That's a pretty early Dragmaster car with the parallel frame rails. Might be the only dragster I've ever seen with a '32 radiator shell!

The last owner set it up this way with the grille shell and radiator. If you do a search for Hellzapoppin on here there are some early pics of it before the mods were done. Somewhere along the way one of the roll bars was cut off. The car had lots of repairs but lots of history and original parts. There was a later version of this car with a longer Dart ch***is also. It sold cheap on E-bay,(around $5K- running car) I didn't pull the trigger because I thought it would go for much more-still regret it! An earlier post in this thread says it stayed close to home-Carmel NY, currently being restored... maybe someone here knows the new owner.

I meet the new owner a few weeks ago,and the restoration is well under way. Hope to have a side by side photo of it with "Alley Oop" this Fall at the Dover Reunion.:)

I think by then it was called Drag Times.Got a bunch of late 60's and 70's issues somewheres.I am sure they covered the fuel altereds.Match racing was the big thing on the East coast. We loved seeing the West coast guys touring here in the summers.
