This is an old boat dash that I am planing on using in my A tudor project. Heavy cast aluminum, polished up good with a little steel wool, Got it for under $20 including shipping!
Shouldn't see one like it at every gathering. [IMG]

  2. Looks like a bicthen extra large cup holder to me! Only kiddin gthat thing is pretty damn cool, I've been thinking of doing a custom dash in one of my heaps and so many off beat cool boat gauge clusters keep showing up I might have to go that route too. Good find and post pics when you get it installed

  3. What size guages are you going to use. Aren't all the holes the same size. And you are right you wont see another one anytime soon.

Cup holder, Hmmmm, Naw, think i'll stick gauges in it. [IMG] It will be awhile as I am starting on the chassis this winter, but the parts pile is getting bigger.

Did you hear about the new ,Benz model that is so exclusive the cup holder is named Jeeves.

I found my dash on Ebay too, and I love it-

Nice to have something a little different.

  6. [IMG] Steel wool on aluminum? I was told that if you use steel wool little bits of steel brake off and are imbedded in the aluminum, and you get little spots of rust.

Spark, This appears to have been plated. May be pot metal and not aluminum, just to clarify.
