...it's getting frustrating with finding great stuff on ebay...and it's been beadblasted and painted...let the buyer do this if it suits his project...or not...an original finish, once gone, is gone forever...and also adds value to things these days...unless it's garbage, and not worth anything anyway...

    2cents...

Original finish . . . mine has that and my wife calls it ugly . . . and rusty . . . I suppose the extra doors also make mine a giant loser mobile . . . but it's funny to see all the "more doors are so cool" posts. It just doesn't happen when its time to pony up for a sale. :) Cars on ebay are done up to make them look good for sale . . . likewise if you see a freshly washed car . . . chances are there's dead paint.

Better watch it man, I think the latest Eastwood catalog has a new "rat rod" section, and I saw a machine that does that. Hooks up to a drill (with switchblade bit) and a bottle of whiskey or something. :)

Nothing adds that rat rod look like having a male cat urinate on it,especially if it's chrome.

Years ago I used to throw out the stuff that didn't sell after taking it to a years worth of flea markets. Once I found eBay that stuff got dug out and found new homes. :) I agree on the freshly blasted & primed stuff, I'd rather bid on a rusty untouched piece.

  13. I've made far more $$ selling clean parts than "patina'd" parts.
