Econoline Fuel Sending Unit

..so I grounded the wire from the sending unit, and the gas gauge went all the way up past Full when I switched the ignition..so I guess my issue is with the sending unit...

Does anyone know of a suitable replacement unit for the old Econos? Maybe something out of a Falcon or Ranchero? Maybe something that works with some modification?

im guessing a mustang sending unit would be what you need.

 

I'd check with rockauto.com they are a motorcraft dist.
