Thanks for the info. That was one thing I'd been wondering about for a while. Now if I can just figure out the shift linkage for the 4 speed, but I have an idea for that.

There's probably not a right/wrong way. That's just the way *I* did it and I can say it worked. I really just wanted to provide all the details... an Econoline FAQ of sorts.

I had a lot of OH NO'S with mine! Like forgetting about the starter placement when I built the crossmember. I got the engine in it and all together, OH NO starter won't fit. It all came out and a big notch put in the crossmember. Between what you've done and what I done, the next one will be much easier. Thanks,

Thanks Crowen57. I'm gonna get some new pics up this week. My van is rolling on Keystones now with a couple more inside goodies. I signed up for the TJJ App on my Iphone. Now getting pics up is super easy.

Thank you for reminding me why I put up with the high prices of everything in Hawaii. I'll take $3.65 a gallon for gas over shoveling that shit any day!:D

This is my 17 year old Allisons Eco, she and my 19 year old Steven did much of the work. Alli designed the paint scheme and Steven painted it. 13 red and white stripes on the roof, 50 stars in the blue band. She will be drag racin it at Milan Dragway this summer. We are also taking it to the Detriot Autorama in a couple weeks. It doesn't have an engine in it yet. Plans are either a small or FE Ford, not sure yet.

This may be old news. The front r/l outside door handles on 61-67 Econolines are the same as early Broncos and 65-66 Mustangs. I work near Jeffs Bronco Graveyard and they have the pair for $30.00. (You will have to drill a hole for the Eco button to fit correctly. Which is no big deal.) Macs sells them for $67.95 each. By no means am I knocking Macs. The wife knows I've bought my share of parts from them. Saving $$$ is my game. Hope this helps.
