IMG_0237.JPG I was wondering, can I convert the rear of my econoline to coil overs and ditch the stock springs?

Just joined tonight. This is my 1962 Ford Econoline Falcon van. I have had it for four years and just got it road worthy this fall. We pulled out the motor and tore it down to the block. We plained it and bored it out. It has bigger piston, stiff springs, a Clay Smith thumper cam, 2 barrel Holley 350 carb and 6 to 2 headers. We also stripped all the wiring while the motor was out and re-wired the whole thing with an E-Z Wiring kit. We did a flip kit in the front and a 4-link in the rear with 18 way adjustable QA1 Coil Overs. The interior is all custom and the whole thing is a work in progress. thumbnail_IMG_1703.jpg

Not to hijack, but anyone have a source for a '69 Doge A-100? 318 motor. Don't seem to exist anymore.

Finally!! Was able to find a 9" differential. Came with a extremely rusty '66 donor. Figure I can part out salvageable parts and get some/most of my $$ back.

My great uncle had an OT mid? 70's camper Econoline it was bright red with a mural and bubble windows and a fuzzy interior, and mags. I'm pretty sure he bought it used, because I don't think he has a car bone in his body. The funny thing is he only used it to pull his little aluminum fishing boat.

I’m not all that fond of Econolines, but that red roadster is beautiful.

Hey yall. I'm going to pick this gem up in 2 days. A little backstory.... My grandfather left this '66 to me in his will when I was 12 yrs old. (34 now)...he got it from an auction from Angelo State University. My dad told me it just needed a fuel pump. So, I bought one when I was 17. Ended up trading the pickup to my uncle when I was 18 for a dirt track car. Fast forward about 15 yrs, my uncle passed away...[emoji26] so, my aunt told me to come get the truck...so I'm just now getting a chance to go get it. This should be a ton of fun for my son and I and since it was my grandpa's, it definitely has some sentimental value. It needs A LOT of work, but I'm stoked about it. Always loved these pickups and finally have a chance to do something with it. Oh...and by the way, I found that new fuel pump I bought when I was 17 in the bottom of my toolbox...[emoji13] so, I already have its first new part!

I'll post pics with more info on the truck in a couple days! received_652225155201328.jpeg received_1240477906101128.jpeg

Soooo...after getting the truck home, found out it's actually a '61. I do have the original title, and the auction slip from my grandpa's original purchase...which is pretty cool. It's missing the carburetor, so I have to come up with one. Not sure if i will buy a built one or try to find one to rebuild. Needs body work for sure, but I'm gonna wait on that. My son and I did sand it down today to get the oxidation off of it. Super stoked about this project!!! 20190527_185412.jpeg 20190527_185428.jpeg 20190527_185444.jpeg 20190524_145708.jpeg
