Already gone to CA apparently. (read initial post) I saw it here at Fritz's in KC when it was finished.
i think its getting auctioned - right http://www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCars-RW.cfm?SaleCode=RW09&CarID=r221&fc=0
Its on the RM auction site. I wish there were more picks, I always thought that car was awesome, you know, with the bike and all.
it looks like you have done a great job Fritz! Are you going to start the restoration of Don Prichard's old 1957 Chevrolet now?
I already said that in another thread, that my favorite Roth's car! Did you drive it? if so, how does it handle? it looks real light and i would think the ride would be kinda bouncy....plus all that engine should make it for a scary ride......curious! Hope it goes in good hands.
WOW...awesome job, it's fantastic to see another one coming back to life. I can't wait to see mor, but thanks for sharing the spy pic!
Looks really nice. By the way, saw Rotar used as a prop this weekend ,for a clunker used car ad. Hope it was photo shopped, thought it was kind of disrespectful.
Which bike is that? I remember something about the original cycle being traded out long ago. It looks great. Its kinda weird that most all of Roth's creations have survived mostly unchanged through all these years. An enviable record no doubt.
I was looking on the RM site and the photos of the truck look like ones that were taken years ago. I wonder why they didnt take any of it after its restoration?
'Cause its the last Roth Car to get restored I guess. They want it to be a big deal and surprise at the auction. FRITZ
Just out of curiosity, did Big Ed fund these builds with his own bread, or where they bankrolled by others, like car magazines, or show promoters. Thx Spin
I remember seeing this one at I think the sac autorama when i was a kid I thought it was so cool my dad just smirked but I remember wondering were I would sit if it was my dads truck!? Just a dumb kid thought/memory was really cool to see it but I think it had stripes down the side when I saw it?
Man that's cool, but the bike has always been my favorite. Ive been looking for a good profile shot of it alone for a long time to determine where the frame has been cut, so I can get mine to sit the same. Any chance???
My feeble mind can not absorb the beauty my eyes have see! You my friend are a great keeper of history, I and my kids thank you! Can't wait to see more, any chance of seeing it in the flesh, maybe leaving a small puddle of drool on the floor near it???
