hey kids, i'm looking for any and all info and PHOTOS of the infamous Mysterion. i'm looking to build a super detailed, accurate scale model of it. ANY photos you have i want to see. i plan to compile as much info and photo documentation as i can just for my own benefit, and anyone else who might be interested. the Mystery surrounding it's disapperance is facinating to me. please email me ANY and ALL photos you have of it, the higher the resolution the better and any detail or construction photos will be greatly appreciated. if you have some you would like to snail mail me please email me and i'll give you my address.

thank you all very much for your help.... and yes i have allready talked to Mark Moriarty on the subject.

I just talked to a guy this weekend at Kalamazoo who said his buddy now owns Mark's clone, he was looking for the early, FE tri-power manifolds for Strombergs...

Just curious... why not just use the one that comes in the cardboard box?

Are you building a different scale or are you going to go into super details with the Revell kit?

I've had a bunch, it was my favorite Roth car. These are all I could find Mike, I must have burned then on to a CD somewhere.

    Mysterion Photos

This was one of my favorite shots of the car, but I can't find the full size version.

Not the first time I've been called or admitted to being sic! [IMG]

It's called "Here is Your Hobby, Car Customizing" It was edited by Henry Gregor Felsen. It's got a chapter on the Mysterion including bunch of B&W pics and written by BDR hisself.

Copyrighted 1965 so it was pretty close to when it was built. This book was usually found in libraries. I got my copy on EPay. I remember checking it out several times at the local library when I was a kid. Bought this copy cause it was one of my 1st influences with hot rods/customs.

If you need it, I could see about getting it scanned for you.

thought I was the only feller in the world to remember that book!

Heya Sean...forgot to tell ya....the seat was silver! So maybe a kool silver-flake or satin metallic to it would be right? I have an upholstered panel done in that with green stitching that looks good.....the Mysterion seat was done in silver naugahyde if I recall...and the steering wheel was heavy flake.....maybe black stitching,if it will even be visible with that pattern?
I'll send ya the pic of the seat asap!
