This is an Eddie Meyer head that came on my 21 stud Flathead. The engine runs fine but I wonder if the is the correct head for my engine
My engine has flat top pistons. Is this a head for domed pistons? It’s not flat but the dome cutouts aren’t very deep. Or is this a dome piston head that has been decked? Can anyone show me a photo of Meyer domed verses flat top heads? upload_2025-8-17_11-31-32.png

I don’t have the answer but I do have an original pair of Eddie Meyer head’s for comparison. I would think mine are for flat tops but I’m just guessing because domed pistons would obviously hit. Was there ever a dished piston?
The last picture is of an original 32 V-8 head for comparison. IMG_0875.jpeg IMG_0876.jpeg IMG_0877.jpeg

Domed heads for domed pistons. Flat heads for flat pistons. There were never any dished pistons. A couple aftermarket manufacturers made pop up pistons and they would need their pop up heads (Baron was one).

Thanks for clarifying. I have been wondering the difference since I picked up my original heads.
