Its removable at the moment, but only untill I paint the car. Once the inside is painted the cage will get fully welded at the joints making "stuck" inside the body, but the body and cage will still be able to unbolt from the chassis. I'll have to post better pics of the top part.

  2. Great build thread. The car looks super cool! Love the stance.

You bet, can I put the blower on first? Might make it more of a race! No I am not going to Paso.

Thanks again for your support. A friend showed me your build right after I got my A. Your car is what got me into the hamb and obviously set the tone for my build. I didn't originally intend to put hte radiator in back like you did. But it just did't look right up front after yours.

I have not seen yours since the chop. Is it getting tight in there yet with that motor set back?

Not to much to update. Been driving it a little, it was leaking coolant @ the intake/head so when you got on it, it was misting the windshield. So I haven't driven it other than a couple trips to NAPA, and the hardware store.

I already had the other intake, but didn't want to put it on till I knew the enine ran strong. Less variables. Last weekend I rebuilt all three carbs, yesterday I pulled the four barrel settup and tonight I will probably start putting on the tri-power.

I need to put up some pics with all the lights and stuff working, looks kinda funny with the two lights up front and no radiator.

I like the bulkhead fitting for the coil. nice clean touch. Hows the temp in the car with the radiator?

Hard to say on the temp, I am using the hold your hand on the side of the radiator technique at the moment. It seems okay, although I still need to put in my vent ducts that are going to be inside of the rear tires. I have yet to drive it much yet do to a water leak. But hopefully the new intake will get dialed in tonight or tomorrow and I can get some miles on this thing.

The bulkhead fitting fit right in the original hole for the fuel pet cock. and I wanted to do something with the tear drop indention in the firewall.

I think it needs a grille shell even tho theres nothing in it,,,it makes the car balanced. Littleman can pull it off because of his motor being so far back..

You could run a super chopped 32 with a solid chrome insert and the lines will
    flow better...Just my 3cents.

    Looking cool tho..

No, I was worried about it. I don't have stops yet, so at full crank it feels a little tight. Under normal cruising its great.

I have to agree with evel that a grill shell will make the car flow alot better from the front end to the cowl. And the visor is diffrent but not my thing. overall a very well done car though

I may have missed it in the post, are you using an additional water pump? like an elec water puppy or something, with all the tubing front to rear for the Radiator, bet that thing hold 5 gallons of water, it really should run cool..Bad ass project kept the pic's coming:D

I liked the Visor before. somtimes less is more..
it looks like your plasma cutter had a fight with your Visor and lost...:D
its your own personal touch and I respect you for that..all that matters in the end is burn outs!! :D

NO additional pump, It runs nice and cool right now. We'll see what happens when the 100+ hits this summer.

Exactly why I did it. Most on this board probably won't like it, oh well.

Now that I have been driving it awhile, I am definitely not putting a grill in it. I just like how it trips people out. At a glance going down the road it doesn't look like it should run or be street legal!!

The pattern is kinda becoming a trademark of mine. I usually incorporate it in one way or another to my projects. This is where it started, on a bike I built and didn't want a "loud" paint job, so I did 3D billet alluminum.[IMG]

The pattern is the same just resized and done in more of a tribal style to leave enough meat to hold the visor together.

Tribal visor is not my flavor but the rest of the car is bitchin'. I also have to agree with Evel, it needs a shell.
